Hey there! If you’ve been around awhile you know that this year 2021 looks a bit different. For those of you who are just joining me, welcome! The past two years I have been focused on being a personal brand & product photographer for small businesses, I’ve struggled a lot with gaining more clients and honestly was just feeling stuck. My problem was I wasn’t truly embracing my deepest passion, knowledge and the main driver through my education. Yes I was doing photography as a photography major that’s pretty damn good BUT I wasn’t really getting anywhere. 

I did a group coaching program at the end of 2020 and it helped me gain my confidence back as a business owner. It also helped me realize that I really needed some help! So when December rolled around I got on the phone with a lifestyle/business coach and ended up signing a contract because I felt deep down this was the coach for me…and so far my gut has been right!

Since our initial meeting in December I have felt I’ve grown, narrowed down and really focused on what I wanted/needed to offer. I made the decision to pause on personal branding photography and just do product photography. I mean it was 100% the right decision, I’ve only been doing product photography for 10+ years now! The fact I wasn’t using that to my advantage was silly and I’ve gotten nothing but great new clients out of making the change. 

Sometimes we try to find a fix or solution to something we don’t see clearly and I believe that is what happened with trying to just do a genre of photography I was starting from scratch. Don’t get me wrong I love & do great with personal brand photography BUT it’s a whole lot easier for me to talk your ear off about product photography. So for the foreseeable future product photography is here to stay and be my main focus in my business. It allows for so much flexibility and freedom as well. 

I’ll continue to update y’all on my coaching journey since the main goal is to leave my 9-5 this year and be full time in my business! I know I will meet that goal and continue to gain amazing clients and business friends throughout the year!
